There Are Plenty Of Road Bike Sizes To Fit Anyone
When buying a bike it is quite simple to know the size of the bike you’re looking at because it is most often labeled in cm. There is a great variety of road bike sizes as they are most often built in 1 cm increments. The hard part is figuring out what size you should buy that would be best for you.

and often take a while for a person to select an appropriate size for them. This is because you need to take into consideration different factors in order to pick the best frame for your needs. You not only have to choose a suitable size for your body type but also for the type of riding you plan on doing most.
The measurements companies use to tell the size of their bike is also not always consistent between companies. For some the measurement they use for their bike sizes is determined by the measurement from the centre of where the pedals go through the frame to the centre of the top tube. Others will measure to the top of the top tube. Most of the time though, it is the measurement to the top of the seat tube. An example is a 54 cm bike frame usually means the seat tube is 54 centimeters long.
To figure out which size frame is most likely to fit you best
, you need to first measure your inseam. To do this accurately you need to have your shoes off and stand against a wall. Put a book between your legs and press it up against your pelvic bone then make the wall at the top of the book. Now if you measure in centimeters the distance to the floor from the mark you have your inseam measurement.
Now to get an idea of your road bike size, use your inseam measurement and multiply it by .67. So if your inseam measurement is 84 cm. (84 x .65 = 56.3) therefore a 56cm road bike should fit you. This is for bike where they measure to the top.
